Microsoft plans to relaunch Windows Wallet, according to an interview The Verge has published with Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft.

Windows Wallet is a mobile payments app that can store credit card info, cupons and membership information with a view to improving both online and in-store payments.

There is no information in the interview about when the relaunch will happen, but it looks like the new Windows 10 experience will improve on Windows Wallet for Windows 8.1.

Belifore said “Windows is going to have a wallet concept. You’ve seen it on phones before. We’re going to continue to iterate it. We’re going to think about the range of payment scenarios.”
